6 Ways To Make Homework Fun

I know, it’s been a minute. I haven’t been that active since starting the blog.

And I am not the type of person to start something and not finish.

Or maybe I became that guy!!

So I apologize and as I start the new year this is something I definitely want to restart and be more consistent in.

Happy New Year to you all and today I want to talk about making homework fun.

Let’s admit it, a lot of kids out there don’t like homework.

That could be your kids right!

So it’s important to know that there are ways to make homework more fun

I have 6 ways but there are so much more off course. Lets take a look at them.

  1. Have a clean homework desk or table

Make sure your child or children make sure they clean up their space before starting homework

2. Change into something comfortable

(Don’t worry I am not going to explain each point)

3. Eat something healthy and drink water

Just a little note here. A light snack will do and not a full meal unless you want the kids to take a nap!

4. Make sure you have everything you need in front of you.

They should learn to get out everything they need to do their homework. This is great in teaching them to plan.

5. Watch your time. Don’t waste it.

This is a timeless skill every child should learn – managing time.

6. Take breaks as you do your homework

The breaks shouldn’t be too long. About 30 seconds to a minute. But off-course this depends on the child. You will need to be creative in how you help them take breaks.

So those are my 6 tips on making homework fun. What do you do to make homework fun for your child or children? I would love to hear what you are doing.

And I spoke to some kids about homework at my first day camp of the year and they had a lot to say. if you would like to listen to that episode click here. (Oh and by the way, I have a podcast!)

And with that I have come to the end of the post.

God bless you friends
